CLOSED: Shenandoah Literary Magazine promotion and editing (Beth Staples)

Remote: this project is scheduled to begin on 6/08/2026 and run for 6 weeks, finishing on 7/17/2026.

Project Description

Shenandoah, W&L’s literary magazine now in its 75th year, publishes fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and comics. This summer, SRS students will work on two different issues: promotion for the spring 2026 issue primarily through social media and preparation for the launch of the fall 2026 issue, including editing, fact-checking, and website work. Students will work with Editor-in-Chief Beth Staples and Creative Nonfiction Editor Jean-Luc Bouchard to get valuable experience in all facets of the magazine.

Prerequisites

Familiarity with Shenandoah through the internship course and/or previous SRS work with Shenandoah is strongly preferred.
